The Pretenders는 여성보컬 크리시하인드가 주축이 되어 만든 4인조 영국 밴드입니다. 크리시의 쐬하면서도 힘있는 목소리가 아주 매력적이라고나 할까요. 특히 이 곡은 제가 어릴때 바이브라는 음악채널 Classic 80라는 프로그램에서 뮤직비디오를 보고 꽂혀버린 곡이죠. 4집 Get Close의 타이틀곡으로서 발랄하고 상쾌한 느낌이 매우 좋습니다. 크리시는 여성로커계의 대모라 할 수 있을정도로 80년대 남성들이 주축이었던 락계에서 타 락가수들의 비웃음을 딛고 당당히 성공하여 지금까지도 활발히 활동하고 있습니다.
