2013년 5월 24일 오늘의 곡은 Soul Asylum의 Runaway Train입니다. 소울 어실럼은 1983년 미국 미네소타에서 결성된 얼터너티브 락밴드로서 1984년에 데뷔합니다. 특히 보컬 데이비드 퍼너의 째지는듯하면서도 호소력 있는 보이스가 아주 매력적이지요. 특히 이 곡은 1992년에 발매된 6집 Grave Dancers Union의 세번째 싱글곡으로서 뮤직비디오가 인상적입니다. 미국 전역에서 실종된 어린이와 청소년들의 사진들과 그들의 안타까운 모습을 재현한 것으로 보이는 영상들이 노래와 절묘하게 어우러져 눈시울이 붉어지네요. 특히 마지막에 얘기를 잃은 엄마의 모습이 가장 슬픈, 노래도 너무 절절하고 애절해서 좋네요. 이 곡은 빌보드차트 5위까지 오르며 메가히트를 기록합니다. 즐감하세요!
