20130615 TLC - Unpretty

2013년 6월 15일 오늘의 곡은 TLC의 Unpretty입니다. TLC는 멤버의 애칭 앞글자에서 그룹이름을 따왔는데요. Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas 의 세 멤버 애칭에서 각각 따왔습니다. 1992년 데뷔하여 2집 CrazySexyCool앨범의 Waterfalls란 곡으로 대박을 쳤지요. 특히 물로 만든 사람형상의 특수 CG를 이용한 뮤직비디오는 1995년 MTV 올해의 뮤직비디오 상을 수상하기도 했습니다. 그 당시에는 아주 획기적이었지요. (http://youtu.be/8WEtxJ4-sh4) 오늘의 곡 Unpretty는 1999년 발매된 3집 Fanmail의 두번째 싱글곡으로 교훈적인? 뮤직비디오의 내용이 따스한 느낌의 알앤비 멜로디와 잘 어울립니다. 이 곡은 2000년 그래미어워즈에서 올해의 곡으로 선정되기도 했지요. 멤버인 리사레프트아이로페즈를 보니 정말 안타깝네요. 살아있었더라면 더 좋은 래핑을 많이 들려줬을텐데. 정말 쫄깃쫄깃한 래핑인데 ㅠ 그리고 No Scrubs, Creep, Waterfalls도 꼭 들어보시길 바랍니다. 즐감하세요!
