20130626 Marcella Detroit - I Believe

2013년 6월 26일 오늘의 곡은 Marcella Detroit의 I Believe입니다. 마르셀라 디트로이트는 세익스피어스 시스터즈의 멤버로서 시오반파헤이의 탈퇴로 그룹이 해산되고 1994년에 이 곡으로 솔로 데뷔했지요. 사실상 1994년에 발표한 Jewel 앨범은 그녀의 두번째 앨범인데요 이미 그녀는 세익스피어즈 시스터즈로 뭉치기전에 1982년에 Marcella라는 앨범으로 데뷔합니다. 에릭클랩톤의 투어에 함꼐 하기도 했지만 솔로활동에 전념하고자 그만두게 되는데 별로 인기를 끌지 못하지요. 하여튼 I Believe 이 곡은 두번째 앨범의 타이틀곡으로서 그녀의 특유의 고음이 잘 살아있는 곡입니다. 영국싱글차트 12위까지 올랐지요. 뮤직비디오도 흥미롭네요. 뭔 내용인지는 잘; 왠지 심오한듯.. 최근에는 영국에서 팝스타 투더 오페라 스타에 나와 오페라가수로서의 가능성을 유감없이 보여주기도 했습니다. 최근에 세익스피어스 시스터즈가 다시 결성하여 2009년 2011년 앨범을 내기도 했지요. 좋네요 ㅎ 즐감하세요!
