20130817 Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus

2013년 8월 17일 오늘의 곡은 Depeche Mode의 Personal Jesus입니다. 디페시모드는 1980년에 결성된 영국의 일렉트로닉 락 밴드입니다. 보컬 데이브 개한과 기타겸 작곡가인 마틴 고어가 주축으로 이루어진 5인조로 데뷔했습니다. 1981년에 발표한 첫번째 앨범 Speak & Spell은 전형적인 80년대 스타일의 신스팝으로 이루어졌습니다. 세번째 싱글 Just Can't Get Enogh가 영국싱글차트 8위까지 오르며 히트를 기록했습니다. 이후 발매한 앨범들은 몽환적이면서도 신비로운 드림팝 노선으로 가는데요. 특히 1990년에 발표한 7집 앨범 Violator가 큰 히트를 기록합니다. 영국차트 2위, 빌보드차트 7위까지 오르며 세계적인 인기를 얻는데요. 특히 이 앨범의 타이틀곡인 Personal Jesus는 가사논라에도 불구하고 영국싱글차트 13위, 빌보드 차트 28위까지 오릅니다. 이 곡은 후에 자니캐쉬, 마릴린맨슨이 리메이크 하여 인기를 얻기도 하지요. 전주에 나오는 사운드가 굉장히 인상적인 곡입니다. 즐감하세요!
