2013년 5월 11일 오늘의 곡은 21st Century Girls의 21st Century Girls입니다. 어릴때 즐겨보던 일본음악채널 Vibe에 나와서 확 좋아했던 밴드인데요. 앨범 한장못내고 이 싱글하나내고 소속사에서 퇴출당해 해산되어서 안타까와 했던 기억이 있네요. 1996년 영국 더들리에서 결성되 1999년 6월에 데뷔싱글 21st Century Girls를 내고 세기말적인 분위기와 함께 21세기 음악을 이끌어갈 것 같던? 영국싱글 차트 16위까지 오르긴 했지만 소속사에서 버릇없어서 못마땅했나보네요. 싱글에 있던 Teenage Attack이란 노래도 상당히 좋은 곡입니다. 에이브릴 라빈과 샴푸의 밴드느낌이라고 해도 과언이 아닐정도로 펑크적이면서도 반항아적인 이미지가 나름 매력적이네요. 보컬인 리앤 가너는 유튜브 댓글 중에 자신의 형제의 와이프로 잘 지내고 있으며 이때의 이미지는 지금은 생각할수도 없다고 하네요.
